Really...how does it happen??? Today was Jacob's last day of elementary school. I know parents say this everyday, but it DOES seem like just yesterday that he started Kindergarten. Where does the time go?? I heard someone say once something like the days go by so slow, but the years go by so fast. It's true. I sometimes miss Jacob the baby. There is so much that I would go back and do different. He is an amazing boy and I am so proud of him, but there are days that I look at him in awe and can't believe he is 11 years old. Middle school scares me.....to be honest. I pray that it's a good experience for him and he really shines and has all the self confidence he deserves. Here's to you my love......I love you and I believe in you!

i remember when alex started middle school. he had been in school a week or two when he came home one day and i noticed a visible difference in him. he walked different, with a swagger, i kid you not. you talked differently, a little more sassy than usual. it was as different as night and day.
middle school was also his most rebellious stage, as he was sent to the principal's office once a year during his 3 years in middle school. twice for "naughty" talk and once for getting into a fight defending a friend who was getting bullied.
enjoy the ride. remember the lessons because lucas will be there soon enough.
i meant to say "he talked differently". i never use sassy talk. LOL
